Thank God for Kimberly Alexander, who with Nancy West identified this property, negotiated the purchase, and wrote the grant that secured the purchase funding from Prince William County. Thank God for all of the citizens who came to the two public forums and worked on the community concept - which drives the design today. Thank God for Chief Ester, who has brought valuable input and support to the design and development of the Park. Thank God for O'kelly Russell who spent numerous hours drafting and redrafting, what you are about to see on the website. And, Yes... Thank God for the staff that ensured our timely and efficient coordination of this project. So many have been ignored by this article - but should not be overlooked by the Dumfries Community which they worked tirelessly for.
